The pay was not great but was sufficient. They had a great k plan and insurance. The only thing I did not like about the CSR position was there was a lot of irate callers and you could not get a team leads to take the escalated calls. When they shut the call center down at my location they were nice enough to give us over three months notification and were very lenient in us being able to go out and apply for other jobs during that time.
Pros Great benefits. Cons Lazy team leads. Work there for over 16 years doing multiple jobs and training learning new things great supervisor. Pros Benefits, Pto, and great pay. Cons None. Good training, good people. Approachable management. I really liked it there. I had to leave the position because the company was moving the clerical and imaging department to a different state and would no longer be at the current location.
It is a great place to work. Management was great. Pay was great. Room for growth. Optimal one on one's with raises. Great Healthcare package. Wonderful coworkers. Pros Health care. Cons Far. We want to help you find great companies. Help us be the best! Excellent company- The workplace culture was always smooth and functional.
Cons None at this time. Very busy large caseload, a lot of driving nice coworkers. Coventry is all about money. Pros Competitive salary. Cons Cruel management. Would never work at a company like this again.
This was the worst company I have ever worked for. Direct management is corrupt. They break every HR basic rule and get away with it. The culture is negative, mean and generally just awful! If you can find a friend you may survive for a short time. Coventry was the best company I worked for. Now, employees are literally a warm body in a seat.

If you work hard it is recognized and rewarded. And conversely if you are a slacker, do not expect to do well here. Pros Recognition system.
Cons Too many mergers. Very strict on how they do things. Sure they help you by training you and guiding you but knowledge and how you word things is a HUGE thing for them.
You must pass all your QAs with a 96 and above and if not they will write you up. They are very strict. Therefore if you work for them your stress levels will be extremely high so be ready for that. But if you can handle extreme stress then go for it. Pros You get to work from home.
Cons You must pass all your QAs. A typical day at work is typical after you are used to the work but there seems to be something to keep it interesting. All co-workers on my team have been with the company more than ten years which is why there is not much opportunities to move to new position. This is the case through out the company. Compensation is fair, hours are flexible Monday - Friday.

I had a great experience working for Coventry. My direct manager is great. Miztie Wasik. I was hired on because of my Bilingual Capabilties. We were set to support and execute polices established in accordance with the 5 stars programs. I reached out to communities , primarily highly populated latino clinics, and engage physicians regarding current updated medication trends with individuals with type 2 diabetes and HTN.
Pros Great enviroment. Cons It was a temporary position. The type of position I held was work from home. I was able to choose what time I started and if I needed to start at a different time I was able to do that.
You had to get a certain quota of bills done each day and if you stayed on track it was easy to surpass it. The flexibility of start times, working from home and not having a supervisor looming over my shoulder was great. You could take off in the middle of the day for a doctor appt and then make up for the time at the end of your shift.
For a healthcare company, I felt the medical benefits could have been a bit better. As long as you are not doing the customer service line, the company was a great place to work. Pros Flexible start times - work from home. Cons Jobs being offshored - starting pay low to average. I worked there in was like family oriented work environment. We were there for each other. I really miss it there. I know it's Aetna now no longer Coventry. The one thing that stood out about this job was was management.
While working at Coventry Health I was hired through a temp agency. My supervisor at the time would oversee our work each week. My responsibility working in the workers compensation department was setting up doctors appointment with neccessary doctors. Each week our department would have meeting. My supervisor would always make sure I sat next to her and one week she called me out in front of all of my co workers because I took a different seat at this particular meeting.
Yelling saying did you get each and every note. Needless to say that was my last day. Pros No pros. Adjusters run the cases and think every person is lying and no one is really injured- many of the nurses believe that too. They are pretty burned out and just doing it for the money. As soon as they stopped paying mileage and gave company cars, turn over was high! Pros Make own schedule. Cons Everything else. Claimed Profile.
